Call Out To Your Father!
Thursday's Devotion (6-12-03)
"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." Romans 8:15 (KJV)
This scripture is good news, because it shows we don't need to fear. We have not received the spirit of bondage to fear again, but the Spirit of adoption (The Holy Spirit). It is through the Holy Spirit, that we cry Abba, Father! We have the Holy Spirit, so we can call upon our Father when we're in trouble, so what's to fear? Any dad or father figure, would agree with me on this when your child is in trouble, any dad that's worth a dime would try to help their child! What dad, would let their child get killed in front of their eyes? No descent dad would, if they could prevent it. My point is this: God, is our father or dad, His eyes are always on us, so is He going to let us be destroyed? No! Why not? Because He's the most descent Father, anyone could ever have! How many descent dads wouldn't come to their child, when their child was in need? You might say, "I cry to God, day and night and He doesn't help me!" Most likely He doesn't help you, because you don't have the faith. Maybe you're not grounded in the Word, enough. If you believe, He will help. I think some dads, when you don't believe in them, when you ask for something, they naturally say, "Hey, you don't believe I can do it! Forget it, I'm not helping! I'll help when you truly believe I can do the job!" I guess it's kind of an insult, not to believe someone can do something. Wouldn't it be an insult to you, if you were a professional football player and I told you, "You can't play football! You couldn't do it if your life depended on it!" God, is the professional problem solver, He's done it since the beginning. No one can do it better, than God. So when we don't believe He can do it, we're insulting Him. We put God, in a box and act like He can't get out of it! We put Him in a box, by believing since we can't do something, neither can He. There is no problem too big or too small for God. It's not always the big problems we don't think God, can do, but the small ones too. What do I mean? Sometimes some of us, think a small problem shouldn't be brought to God. They think, "I don't need to waste His time with this!" We think that He won't help, because the problem is too small or stupid. However that's a lie of the enemy. God, wants us to bring everything to Him! You can't waste God's time, because He doesn't have a clock! Whatever the problem and even when there's no problem, call out to your Father!
God bless!
