Remain Faithful!

Saturday's Devotion (5-31-03)

"A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent." Proverbs 28:20 (KJV)

Yesterday, I talked about how churches do anything to keep the donations coming in. They tell the people what they want to hear and not what God, would have them to hear. If you're faithful to God, you will be blessed, but if you make haste to be rich you will not be innocent. Let's say someone offers me donations, to preach, "Homosexuality is ok." If I accept those donations and start preaching that, then I'm turning on God's Word. I'm not being faithful to God and I'll pay for it. Believe me those few extra bucks, aren't worth that! However if I remain faithful and say, "There's no way I'll preach that! It goes against God's Word!" Then I'm being faithful and I will abound in blessings. In other words, if I turn on God, for riches I'll pay dearly! If I turn on Him, for anything I'll pay dearly. As long as we stay faithful, to God and do right, we will live good. We will be blessed, we may not be rich, but we'll have eternal life. But these people in some churches that preach, what people want to hear and not God's  truth will pay. They're digging themselves deeper and deeper into the pits of Hell! Satan, will tempt you to turn on God. He'll say things like, "If you join me, I'll give you riches and power!" He's lying, but if you fall for that and join him, you will not be held innocent! You would have to answer to the wrath of God! Is it really worth it to sell your soul, for money? I don't think so, this life and money is only temporary. Once you sell your soul, for these things and die what do you have? All you'll have is eternal Hell fire! All you'll have is eternal torment. If you stay faithful and die, then you have eternal peace and joy with the Lord! I think you'd have to be an idiot to give that up, for money or anything else! Hang in there and remember my words from today. You will probably be tempted with this at one time or another.

God bless!
