The Perfect Love Of God!

Friday's Devotion (5-23-03)

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 (KJV)

Sometimes we find it hard to believe that God, loves us unconditionally. The love of God, is so perfect that He's not willing to let anyone or thing separate us from it. Take a look at how much your family loves you and know that God, loves you more than them. If you have a wife or husband that loves you very much, think of how they love you. They'd do anything for you, right? They'd love you through anything right? Well, God's love is even better than that. No man, woman or creature can love you, more than God. It might seem hard to believe sometimes, because we all go through tough times. You might say, "Well, if God, loves me that much how could He let this happen? I think my family loves me more, they'd never let this happen!" My answer to that is God, loves you that much to let you go through bad times. Because bad times strengthen us and bring us closer to God. He's protecting you from much worse circumstances. Whatever your situation is, later on in life you'll see how much God, loved you to let you go through that. In the book of Job, God, was so proud of His servant Job, He let Satan, attack Job. He was practically bragging about Job. I believe He let Satan, attack Job, because He was proud of Job and wanted to prove that Job, was faithful. When it was all over Job, received a great blessing from God. His trial didn't separate Him from God, even though it seemed that way to him, when he went through it. God, let His very own son die on a cross for us. How many people do you know who would let their son or daughter, die for you? I know one person who would and that's our God. If people who don't follow God, knew how much He loved them, they'd follow Him. If we could display the perfect love of God, we could win souls for Christ. How can we display the love of God? One thing we can do is help others and go out of our way to do it. So many Christians, think they have to walk around and preach the Gospel to everyone. That's not true, that actually turns people off. The best way to preach God's love is in deed and truth. That means with our actions and not our mouths. Be so gentle and kind, let people feel the Spirit of God, off of you. Let them think, "I wonder why this guy is so nice?" If they ask tell them and if not, know that you're a walking testimony anyway. Let's take a look at the late Mister Rogers. He was a minister and his ministry was showing love to millions of children. He lived the life and didn't even have to speak it. Of course we need to speak it, but it shouldn't be a constant thing. We shouldn't go around and tell everyone, "Hey, I'm a Christian!" They should be able to tell by our actions.
