A Challenge For All!
Tuesday's Devotion (5-20-03)
"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me." Psalm 56:3-4 (KJV)
We can really learn a lot from King David. David, trusted God, more than anything or anyone. He was a man who knew how to trust God. We need to trust God, even when we are afraid. We shouldn't fear man, Satan or even ourselves. When I say ourselves this is what I mean, sometimes we scare ourselves, by worrying, we're going to mess up. We worry that we're going to mess up God's love for us. The only one that we need to fear is God. God, has freed us from all other fear and we don't have to fear. God, is the only one who can destroy us both physically and spiritually. God, is our protector and if God's on our side what do we have to fear? Can not God, destroy our enemies? Can He not handle our problems? If we could just have the natural ability King David, had to trust God. If we had that we'd be doing great. I realize a lot of Christians, are in fearful situations right now and need to start trusting God. I need to start trusting more myself. One thing that can help us trust and get out of our bad situations is to read the Bible. The Bible shows us some of the many great things God, has done. It'll make you think, "Well God, did this, He can help me!" God, has done so many awesome things through history and we need to realize that. Once we really realize what He's done, it'll be easier to trust Him. Just to think the Bible doesn't even cover all the great things He's done! I'd like to tell you all how much you need to read the Bible daily, because it has changed my life. I read daily and I love it. My life has changed for the better. Let me ask you something. Do you come here and read my devotions daily, but don't read the Bible? If so, I'd like to challenge you to read a chapter of the Bible or more a day instead. The Bible will benefit you more spiritually than this site or even church. Of course we need the fellowship and teachings that a church can bring, but we need God's Word. We can't grow without His Word. If you come here or go to a church, but don't read God's Word, you're trusting man more than God. How do you know that me or the church you go to isn't twisting God's Word? If you don't read God's Word, you don't know. This is why I'm encouraging you to start reading daily today! If you will do this please post about it on the message board! I really believe that God, is calling Christians to read His Word. If you don't have a Bible you can get one from the purchase a book link. If you can't afford a Bible, see our links page, there's a link to get a free one. I really hope this encourages you to read the Bible.
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
