Fear Or Faith?
Saturday's Devotion (5-10-03)
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 (KJV)
Everyone should know this scripture, but do we understand it? Sometimes we condemn ourselves and start thinking that we're not saved. Do you believe in Jesus? Did you accept Jesus, into your heart? Do you follow Jesus? If you said yes, to those questions then you're saved! It's that simple. Part of this scripture says, "whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." We're people, so if we believe are we not saved? If we believe and aren't saved wouldn't that make Jesus, a liar? Jesus, is not a liar. So, whoever is doubting their salvation and believes in Jesus and is reading this say, "I am saved because I believe!" Go to our message boards and announce that you're saved because you believe! That's what I'm going to do! Today's devotion isn't just for you readers, but it's for me. I've been doubting my salvation and I'm tired of doubting it! I'm tired of believing Satan's lies! I've been so scared and upset, thinking I've lost my salvation. A few nights ago I had a dream and a song was playing in it. The song said, "Whenever I fear, I'm believin' him (Satan)" The song went on to say something like this, "I don't want to believe him anymore, I wanna put my faith in you! (God)" So do we fear and believe the devil or do we have faith in God? Do you believe in Jesus? If yes is Satan, telling you that you're going to Hell? If so let's put Satan, in his rightful place and say a prayer together.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you in this desperate time. We're tired of believing Satan and his lies. We're tired of living in fear. We claim this scripture, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." We believe in Jesus and we're claiming our salvation! Please give us the peace that passes all understanding. Thank you for sending Jesus, for us. In Jesus, name. A-men!
I'll meet you all at the message board, to claim our redemption!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
