Faithful Servant

Sunday's Devotion (5-4-03)

"And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Matthew 25:20-21 (KJV)

If we're faithful with what we have, we'll get more. Before I opened this dot com, I ran a forum. The forum got quite a few visitors, I wrote daily devotions on that forum for nine months straight. I believe I was faithful with that forum and now look at me, the Lord, has given me something bigger. He's given me the task of writing for and helping run this dot com along with my wife. I consider this a blessing to be sitting here, writing devotions for the Lord. I've learned a lot off of my own devotions. I know that sounds weird, but it's the truth. It's because the Lord, will reveal things to me in my writings. The Lord, has set a task in front of us all and it's our duty to be faithful with it. We're all called to do the work of the Lord. The Lord, may just want some people to support their spouses in their work for the Lord and others to be a light at the work place. The work, the Lord, has assigned to anyone of His servants is just as important as the work of any other one of His servants. We must remain faithful. Sometimes the Devil, will try to make our work look pointless, but it's not. We will never know the effect we're making in other people's lives. When you go to work, you could make someone else's whole day and not even know it. We don't really fully know the impact, we're making. But that's the beauty of it too, because we don't know how great our reward in Heaven, will be. We shouldn't get discouraged, we need to keep in mind that we don't know what impact we're making. We just need to trust God and believe He's put us where we are for a reason. Sometimes, I'll get discouraged, but I don't give up. I don't give up because that's not what God, would have us to do. Satan, wants us to give up. Let's stay faithful in what we're doing for the Lord and he'll continue to give us bigger things. I believe that one day, I'll have an even bigger task than this dot com. I hope today's message encourages you to stay faithful and to keep pushing forward!

God bless!
