F.E.A.R.

Thursday's Devotion (5-1-03)

"The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe." Proverbs 29:25 (KJV)

When we fear, we're being a stumbling block to ourselves. That fear holds us back and keeps us from what we need to do. Fear is not of God. I've heard this a few times from different people, but I think it's true and kind of funny, here it is: F.E.A.R. stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. Satan, will use things against us that make us scared. He'll make us think we've lost our salvation, but that's that false evidence appearing real. We get caught up in the fear and lose sight of what we need to do and this is what Satan, wants. Satan, has no real proof if he says, we've lost our salvation. Do you know why he has no real proof, but only false? Because we believe in Jesus and we accepted Him into our hearts. That's the real proof of salvation. The only way Satan, would have any real proof that we're not saved is if we didn't believe and follow Jesus. But Satan, won't use that against us, because he wouldn't want us to know. He only wants us to think we're not saved, when we are. Then he wants us to think everything is fine, when it's not. Fear is something a lot of us go through, fear of losing our salvation, fear of finances and much more. But if we can trust in God, we can be safe. We can have what we need, but we won't have what we need until we trust Him. That's a hard one for me sometimes, because I just want it handed to me from God. I don't want to have to make myself trust, that's too hard or at least it seems it. I think that's another lie of the enemy, he'll make us think it's impossible for us to have the faith we need. We need to get rid of all fear and trust God. I think we all need to get rid of fear, in some area of our lives. Let's say a prayer together.

Dear Father, I have fear and doubt. I know this isn't of you and I ask you to take it away. Help me to trust in you and not lose sight of what I need to do. Help me to see, what's real and what's false. Please forgive me for this fear and doubt. I thank you, Father. I love you, Father and praise your holy name. In Jesus, name. A-men!

I hope today's devotion helped anyone who has fear and doubt. I know it helped me and I wrote it. Kind of neat how God, speaks to us!

God bless!
