God's Property

Monday's Devotion (4-21-03)

"The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." Psalm 24:1 (KJV)

Everything on the earth belongs to the Lord. Even the people on the earth, whether or not they choose to believe that. He made everything and everyone, He made us for Him. He made us to have fellowship with Him. He made each and everyone of us, with a purpose in mind. Many more than not will choose not to follow Christ, but He still owns them. Why do I say that? Because whether or not we follow Him, after this life we all will come before His judgment seat. He's going to do what He wants with everything and everyone. The ones that don't follow Him, will go to Hell and the ones that do will enter into His rest. The ones that do will have life everlasting. My point is whether or not we follow the Lord, He's in control. He plans our future and it's all decided by whether or not we follow Him. So to say, "The Lord, doesn't own me!" Would be a lie. How can He not own us, when He made us? How could He do what He wants to us, if He doesn't own us? We are all God's property!
