The Word of God!

Wednesday's Devotion (4-16-03)

"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11 (KJV)

One thing I believe strongly in is reading God's word daily. If we don't know His Word, we're vulnerable to sin. We're unable to tell the difference between what's right and what's wrong. We need to know what's right in the sight of the Lord and not our own sight. Also, if you read my testimony, you'll see why I believe so strongly in reading His Word. I was almost a victim of Satan's lies. I was almost deceived. The only way to not be deceived is to know God and the only way to know Him, is through His Word! This is one point I like to stress, because it can't be stressed enough. People don't understand why this is so important. Reading God's Word daily, keeps us in check. It helps us to always remember what's important and teaches us to trust and much more. Without reading the Word daily, we can't really grow as much as we could, if we did. With that being said to those of you, who don't read daily, I want to encourage you to start. You won't be sorry you did, later on down the road. Once you start reading daily, you'll see how important it really is. So, if you'll do this I'd like to see you post about your new commitment on the message board. To those of you who already read daily, perhaps you can share what that has done for you. We need to encourage each other, that's what this new site is all about!
