Victory Over Temptation!

Friday's Devotion (4-11-03)

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it]." 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV)

No temptation can over take us or win over us. Except the temptations that are common to man, let's say you're weak when it comes to cigarettes. That temptation can overtake you, but you just have to repent from it. You have to ask the Lord, to take that temptation and addiction away. God, is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted above what you can handle. Sometimes it can seem we're being tempted more than we can handle, but that's not so. Because to me more than I can handle would be to the point where I lose my soul. It will never be allowed to go that far. God, doesn't tempt us, but he allows Satan, to tempt us to a certain extent. But Satan, can't defeat you because Jesus, bought you with a price. You belong to him. God, will make a way out of the temptation for us, he does this so we can bear it. I believe God, lets Satan, tempt us so, we can grow spiritually. If the temptation went on and on and never stopped, it would be more than we could bear. So, if you're going through temptation and trials right now, hang in there and praise God. Just know that it'll end. God, will make a way out for you! God, is faithful! Victory over any kind of temptation, comes from God!
