God's Loving Kindness
Wednesday's Devotion (4-9-03)
"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, [saying], Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." Jeremiah 31:3
What better topic to do our first devotion on, than God's loving kindness? When God, loves someone he loves them forever. His love never runs out. Sometimes we get caught up in things and forget this. Our love isn't like God's if someone messes up we have trouble forgiving them. We sometimes hold grudges and don't let go. God, isn't like that he loves us and loves us no matter what. He forgives us right when we ask. God, is love and he's the same yesterday, today and forever. So, if he loves you today surely he'll love you tomorrow. People back slide and then they are told, "Since you back slid and fell away from God, it's over for you." That's not the case his love isn't limited, it's everlasting. Nothing can stop his everlasting love for you! He doesn't get tired of us. Sometimes when we have a fight with someone and break our friendship with someone, we don't love them anymore. But God's love is everlasting, if you've backslidden even though you weren't faithful he still is and still loves you! I'm not telling you, you can do anything you want and not go to Hell, because God, loves you. If you rebel against God and don't follow his commandments and follow him, you can go to Hell. You will go to Hell, if you don't repent (Turn from your sins and ask for forgiveness.) So repent from your sins and follow God, he loves you! He gave his Son Jesus, for you!
