Shine for Jesus

Sunday (2-12-06)

We are to be that shining light for Jesus in order to give hope to the hopeless. The direction this world is being guided is by the blind leading the blind. We, the body of Christ are to be representatives of Christ.

Mat 5:14 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."

Jhn 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
2Cr 4:4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

I want to encourage all you Christians (a child of God) to give all those things that might be hindering your walk up to Jesus. The things I am referring to are bitterness, pride, selfishness, greed, un forgiveness, hate, back-bitting (gossip), unbelief, lust, worldliness, backsliding, and any other sins I have not mentioned. I know you must think there is no way anyone can successfully give up those things, because we are all guilty. The Lord wants us to confess these things in our prayers to Him. After you confess your sins, ask Jesus to forgive you of these sins. Then ask Jesus to give you strength and guide you into victory. Jesus will then cover your sins by the blood He shed on the cross. Afterwards, Jesus will begin a work in your heart and change you from the inside to where your outside is shining for Jesus.

I pray that you will give up those things that are hindering your walk with Jesus. If you do, the Lord will set you free with a peace that only God can provide. Free yourself from all that extra baggage you’ve been dragging around with you far too long. Jesus will lighten your load and give you rest.

Mat 11:28 "Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Mat 11:29 "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Mat 11:30 "For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light."

Look around at this corrupt world we live in which is an era of "The End Times." We must set aside our differences and join together as we were intended to, as The Body of Christ. We get caught up in the world, but the Lord is faithful to direct our eyes back onto Jesus. Receive all that the Lord has for you. You are His beloved little child whom He loves so much that He died in your place. In order to give eternal life/salvation to all who will confess Him as their savior. In Jesus we can have victory, in fact the battle has been already won. All you have to do is claim the victory. Jesus can make your life whole and complete. Ask Jesus to heal your broken heart and claim the victory. I pray that you will shine for Jesus like never before. What great blessings are in store for you if you will step out in faith. God please let us shine for your son Jesus that others may come to know you as their bright and shining armor and Lord of Lords. God Bless.
